Getting along with others has taught me one valuable lesson: kindness creates lasting bonds. Last summer, I experienced this with my cousin Mia.
Mia’s family moved to our city, and she felt lonely without friends. As her closest relative here, I decided to help. I noticed she loved painting but couldn’t afford good supplies. For weeks, I secretly saved pocket money. Finally, I bought her a set of professional watercolors.
When I offered the gift on her birthday, Mia’s eyes lit up. “How did you know ” she whispered. Since that day, she has painted daily. Her confidence grew, and she even joined the school art club.
But the real surprise came later. Last month, Mia used her paintings to raise money for stray animals. She has sold over 30 pieces! Her act of kindness inspired me deeply. Watching her transform from a shy girl into someone who helps others feels priceless.
This experience has changed me too. I have learned that small gestures matter. Mia and I now volunteer at animal shelters every weekend. Helping others together has made our relationship stronger than ever.
4.Why did the writer buy watercolors for Mia
