When I was young, there were no supermarkets. People went to wet markets(菜市场) to buy fruit, vegetables and seafood. They picked what they wanted, paid for it and carried it home in a basket. These markets were often dirty and noisy.
Supermarkets are much cleaner. They also provide a more convenient shopping experience. I still remember my first trip to a supermarket. I brought my bamboo basket along but quickly realized that it was unnecessary. The supermarket provided free plastic bags.
Over the past ten years, our world has continued to change, and so have supermarkets and our shopping habits. Today, supermarkets no longer offer free plastic bags. But you can still see plenty of plastic packages(包装袋) in the food shelves. They make fruit and vegetables look fresh and clean.
In fact, these plastic packages can be reused. But it takes lots of energy and money to clean and process them, so many of us throw them away after just a single use.
Perhaps modern supermarkets can learn from the wet markets of the old days and encourage the use

Bees are hard-working insects. They work hard every day to make honey.
Honey is useful in health. To begin with, it works well in treating wounds since it can dry wounds out and prevent bacterial (细菌的) growth. So doctors use it as a medicine, and it has long been used to fight some diseases. Studies have shown that honey can help with coughs.
Bees can not only make honey, but also help our crops or flowers a lot. Bees visit lots of flowers and take the pollen (花粉) home to make honey. But as they do this, some of the pollen falls off the bees onto other flowers. The plants use this pollen to make new seeds (种子). Without flowers, bees couldn't make honey. Without bees, flowers couldn't make new seeds. This is called mutualism.
Many people are afraid of bees because of their stings ( 叮伤). But in fact, bees sting people only when they think people hurt them. If a bee stings something, it will die soon. To avoid bees’ stings,it's good to wear special hats or clothes in dark colors because bees like bright colors, and light clothes easily attract them. Also, it isn't a good idea to let your children play near flowers.
Bees really are our friends. A world without bees would look a lot different.
