Starting this autumn term, students at primary and middle schools in Beijing have longer breaks between classes--from 10 minutes to 15 minutes. Students now can spend more time outside, so they can be healthier and happier. Many schools have space for reading, playing the piano and even playing with animals.

From friendships to work stress, more Chinese people are now using AI tools like DeepSeek to talk about their problems. They share feelings with the chatbot(聊天机器人) and get warm advice. This is called “AI therapy(疗愈)”, which is becoming popular online. But can robots really take the place of human therapists(治疗师)
Around the world, 45 percent of people who needed mental(心理的)health care in 2024 did not get it because it was too expensive or there weren’t enough doctors, according to Huntington Psychological Services. Daniel Lowd, a professor (教授)at the University of Oregon, believes AI could help solve these problems. “If people can find some support and ideas by talking to ChatGPT or chatbot Claude, then I think that’s wonderful,” Lowd told Newsweek. Li Yong, a doctor at the Jiangsu Province Hospital, agreed with Lowd, saying that AI meets people’s needs for emotional(情绪上的)support to a point
However, AI has its limits. Human therapists understand feelings deeply through face-to-face talks and create personalized treatment(个性化治疗)plans--something robots can’t fully copy. Another problem is safety. AI might act like a therapist without proper training or rules. It can’t be as responsible(负责的)as human therapists.
Experts believe the key to safe AI therapy is strict government control. For example, Wysa, an AI mental health app, follows strict medical standards(标准)in the UK . As AI becomes part of daily life, finding a balance(平衡)between its benefits(效益)and risks is important. While AI offers quick help, human connection keeps irreplaceable for serious emotional needs.
( ) 32.What is “AI therap”
Making friends with an AI chatbot. B. Looking for comfort and advice from a chatbot.
Using AI tools in our daily lives. D. Treating illnesses with the help ofAI.
( ) 33.What problems can chatbots solve according to Daniel Lowd
Not enough time to relax. B. The high price of going to hospitals.
C.The great need for mental health care. D. Terrible relations between people.
( ) 34.What is a problem with AI chatbots according to the passage
They cannot offer different treatment plans.
They don’t get proper training,
They cannot be responsible for their advice,
They might take away jobs from human therapists.
( ) 35.What do experts think about “AI therapy”
It brings more risks than benefits.
It is good but needs strong control.
It will completely change the health care industry.
People shouldn’t depend too much on AI chatbots.

Dear Sad and Fourteen,
It’s not easy being your age, and it’s normal to have these feelings. Why don’t you talk about these feelings with your family Too much pressure is not good for a kid’s development. You should explain to them that you feel too tired because of too many after-class lessons. And maybe your parents can cut out some of them so that you can have time to relax. What’s more, you had better make good use of time to do homework and sleep earlier. Remember: learn to relax and be in control of your life!(88words)
I hope things will be better for you soon,
Robert Hunt
