Always believe in yourself no matter what happens to you and love yourself. These are laws of life that are useful to everyone. I think that before people can live happy lives, they must believe in and accept themselves.
The hardest thing for you to do is look in the mirror and like what you see, and then accept yourself, being thankful. And believe you can finish anything you try to do. To live a comfortable life, you must start with believing in yourself.
I have struggled with believing in myself so many times in my life. Struggling with little tasks such as completing homework or memorizing a piano piece, I would get so upset. But you will never realize how much easier your life will become until you say, “I can do this!”
Four or five years ago, I began taking piano lessons. One day, recital time was coming near, but I had a piano piece that I couldn't completely ing home with a feeling of sadness, I just considered I could not finish this task. I sat at my piano and told myself that I would never get it finished. But on second thoughts, I could memorize it. So, I tried my best to play. Finally, I did end up finishing the piece, and the recital was able to go smoothly. The important point is that looking back on this time in my life, I can see how important it is to believe that I can complete anything I want to do if I try my best.
Now, when I become upset about a piano piece, I never give up or think that I cannot do it.Always beginning with confidence, I sit down and tell myself that I can achieve my goal if I put my mind to it. I realize that I should have this mind in everything I do.
So, my dear friend, never give up and believe that you can complete anything if you put your mind to it.

- 答案:D
C

答案:21. B;22. A;23. C;24. D; 25. A 。
详解:
21题- 解析:文中提到 “The hardest thing for you to do is look in the mirror and like what you see, and then accept yourself” ,说明照镜子时最难的是接受自己。
22题- 解析:从文中 “Four or five years ago, I began taking piano lessons.” 所以选A 。
- 答案:A
- e:文章开头 “Always believe in yourself no matter what happens to you and love yourself.”
- d:“I have struggled with believing in myself so many times in my life. Struggling with little tasks such as completing homework or memorizing a piano piece, I would get so upset.”
- c:“Four or five years ago, I began taking piano lessons.”
- b:“Now, when I become upset about a piano piece, I never give up or think that I cannot do it.”
- a:“So, my dear friend, never give up and believe that you can complete anything if you put your mind to it.” 以及前文体现的 “you can achieve your goal if you put your mind to it” ,在b之后。
所以正确顺序是e - d - c - b - a ,选C 。
(Nothing is difficult if you put your heart into it)。
所以选A 。
- 答案:A

C;27. D;28. A;29. F;30. B。
详解:
26题:- 前文提到“Students at Hilltop School had a University Week at the end of last month.”(山顶学校的学生在上个月末有一个大学周),后文举例说“they designed a flag for an imaginary university.”(他们为一所想象中的大学设计旗帜)。
- C选项“During the week, they took part in many kinds of activities.”(在这周期间,他们参加了很多种活动)能够很好地衔接上下文,说明在大学周里学生们参与了各种活动,其中包括设计旗帜这种活动。
27题:- 后文引用了某人的话“‘University may not be for everyone, but we want the programme to help students form their aims,’ he said.”(他说:“大学可能不适合每个人,但我们希望这个项目能帮助学生确立他们的目标” )。
- D选项“Mr Miller is the teacher who started the programme.”(米勒先生是发起这个项目的老师),这里的“he”就可以指代Mr Miller,说明是米勒先生发起了这个项目并发表了这样的言论。
- A选项“According to what the students said, the programme worked well.”(根据学生们所说,这个项目效果很好)可以作为总起句,引出后面学生们对项目的积极反馈。
29题:- 前文提到“Paul, another student in Grade 8, said he realized that there were so many universities for him to choose from.”(八年级的另一个学生保罗说,他意识到有很多大学可供他选择)。
- F选项“After some research, he said he wanted to choose the University of California.”(经过一些研究,他说他想选择加利福尼亚大学)是保罗在意识到有很多大学可选后,经过研究做出的选择,能够承接上文。
30题:- 前文提到“The first talk was given by Captain Brown, a policeman. He talked about how to choose a career.”(第一次演讲由警察布朗上尉进行。
- B选项“He also talked about the importance of Maths, reading and writing in his career as a policeman.”(他还谈到了在他作为警察的职业生涯中,数学、阅读和写作的重要性),“also”表明是在之前谈到如何选择职业的基础上,进一步谈到职业中相关知识的重要性,符合语境。

Cheered Me Up
Cheered Me Up
Last term, I failed my math exam. I was so sad that I even wanted to give up studying math. Then my math teacher, Mrs. Li, cheered me up.
She patiently explained the difficult problems to me again and again. She also told me some learning skills and encouraged me to keep trying. With her help, I regained my confidence.
Now, I study math harder and my grades are getting better. I'm really grateful to Mrs. Li. Her kindness and support cheered me up and made me believe in myself again.
